Latin America’s Crypto Media Struggles to Convert Traffic into Engagement

Latin America's leading crypto media outlets face a growing disparity between audience reach and user engagement, according to a Q2 2025 data brief from Outset PR. While top publishers like CriptoNoticias and Cointelegraph Brasil dominate regional traffic, they lag in critical engagement metrics—session duration, pages per visit, and bounce rates.

The study, powered by Outset Data Pulse, analyzed eight crypto-native outlets representing 74% of regional traffic. CriptoNoticias averaged 448,000 monthly visits but recorded a mere 54-second session duration and a 56% bounce rate. Cointelegraph Brasil fared worse, with 397,000 visits, 42-second sessions, and a 67.5% bounce rate. Foxbit emerged as an outlier, demonstrating stronger retention despite its smaller size.
